Hi Everyone and hope you're enjoying 2019 ! For me the aspects of creativity and freedom of expression are really coming through. I'm now taking 2 days off a week for the first time in decades to give me some space for that.

Hi Everyone. Hope you're all doing well and enjoying the positive energies floating around ~ even though they're so often occluded by the daily barrage of negative news ! I crashed out on the couch after work, no TV book or laptop, suddenly realised ~ wow, I'm relaxed ! Hence the pic, to remind myself that actually gazing out of a window, doing and thinking nothing, is as important as all the daily doing :-)
So it's nice to get back into the uploads ~ and interesting to see how they've changed too. Up until recently it was a case if racing the clock to get as much up as quickly as possible....
Saturday night again and I'm reviewing the week while dinner cooks with a well earned scotch ( well, it's still spirit ! )
As I've said, in the last two massive orders of Crystals from Kristy and Jewels from Paul I forgot about the cost and just followed my heart. However because of that I've found that I love each one of Paul's pieces so much I've had to write more about each one which has slowed the upload process considerably, although it has been more creatively fulfilling.

Ametrine was one of the great finds at the last gem show because you don't see a lot of it around, so I was very happy to find a lot of good quality are reasonable prices. Layers of Amethyst and Citrine, which comprise Ametrine, are only created when the heat of formation is hovering around the 500°C mark. Below that you get Amethyst but above, Citrine.
