Ametrine is an unusual natural combination of Citrine and Amethyst. During formation if the temperature is above 500°C then Citrine is formed - but below 500° sees Amethyst created. If the Temperature is fluctuating around 500° you can find Amethyst and Citrine layered together in one Crystal.
